For a healthy pregnancy, it is paramount that the mother receives excellent nutrition through a balanced diet. In order to support the growing foetus approximately 300 extra kilocalories are needed each day.

Iron supplementation is extremely important for pregnant women and must be done promptly and adequately, routine monitoring of blood parameters is necessary to ensure a good & uneventful pregnancy and later birth.

Folic acid is yet another important vitamin that needs to be adequately supplemented to pregnant women. It is proven to  help reduce the risk of neural tube defects, which are birth defects of the brain and spinal cord. 

Nausea ,vomiting, heartburn, gastritis are common during pregnancy and can be fixed if dietary modifications are made.
